[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Todays course description is the  FEI 4* $210,000 GP of Tryon by Catsy Cruz[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31386″ style=”1″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left” width=”270″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This course was designed to fit the requirements of a FEI  1.55 4 * course and thought and planned to create a good level of competition and excitement during the event.

Course walk:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31379″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]The course starts with an inviting 1.45 vertical as # 1, followed by a bending 29 meters line to a solid # 2  oxer built with a big plank 1.43/ 1.45.  It is important to start the course with an inviting jump to create a good forward motion in the beginning of the course and start building up  difficulties and questions as the course progress .[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31380″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]# 3 is a open oxer built with  poles 1.45/ 1.45 oxer  this is an airy jump followed by a line 21.50 to a combination built with 10 foot poles, 4a 1.50 vertical built only with poles 7.90 oxer built with 3 planks and a pole 1.45/155.

The idea of this line is that being # 3 an only pole jump followed by # 4a also only pole and a big 1.50 vertical the distance 0f 21.50 will be short followed by a 7.90 little forward distance to an oxer that is built solid making the distance a little longer to the oxer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31381″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]After this wide oxer we have a roll back to a # 5 1.53 very open 8 foot verticle built with 2 poles and a white plank in the bottom. This is a very delicate jump , and the with plank on the bottom calls the attention of the horse making it more fragil.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31382″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]The next line is composed of 6a Triple bar 1.50/1.80 , 6b an oxer 1.50/ 1.00  this oxer works more like a  vertical , a distance of 17.75 to # 7  a 1.55 vertical built of mafia( stripped poles). This line is a very technical line and one of the most important factors is that it is built directly going to the door. This creates a more forward movement of the horse, making the distance of 17.75 short.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31383″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]# 8 is a single oxer after a rollback , this oxer is built with a gate 1.48/1.40  it’s a big oxer but not so wide which makes the horse be less careful catching at times the back rail, after this oxer came a quick roll back to the next line.

The next line started with  # 9, a solid oxer built with 2 white planks 1.49/1.50 this solid oxer would slow down the horse followed by a distance of 26.20 which rode  as 7 short strides or 6 forward to a combination of very open 3 white pole vertical combination. (the solid white made this combination more difficult and delicate. Solid colors are harder to jump due to the optical illusion that they create) The verticals were 10a 1.55 -10b 1.54. with a short distance between of 7.90. The majority of the riders did 7 short strides to the vertical combination.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31384″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]# 11, a very open  oxer built with rustic poles and the Liverpool. The rustic poles made this jump combined with the Liverpool made this jump harder.

# 12 a 1.53 dark blue plank .The dark color and the, matter that it’s a plank sitting on flat cups make this jump also very delicate.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”10″][dt_fancy_image type=”uploaded_image” image_id=”31385″ style=”1″ width=”270″ padding=”10″ margin_top=”0″ margin_bottom=”0″ margin_left=”0″ margin_right=”0″ align=”left”][dt_gap height=”10″][vc_column_text]#13 , a very big pink and white 1.55 vertical built with lots of poles. This  is a big vertical and the pink color makes it more difficult to jump jump was followed by a 30 m line, 7 stride to # 14 a  big and wide open  and solid grey oxer with ferns underneath. Once again the solid colors and the size made it a difficult  last jump.

The course was a long and technical one .  And had the results that were expected. There were seven clear rounds out of 29 competitors, The results were very good and the jump of was a very exciting one having the riders in it ride the short course faster and faster . Creating a wonderful atmosphere amongst the crowd.
